Learn more about braces below...

Metal Braces
Braces technology has come a long way, with more discreet metal & ceramic options now available. Metal braces still remain one of the most popular options when it comes to teeth straightening.
Incredible results
From complex cases to minor teeth adjustments, metal braces deliver exceptional results, and fast.
Increased comfort
Smaller brackets, 3D printed braces and customised wires ensure metal braces are now even more comfortable to wear.
Colours make braces fun!
Coloured bands can be changed at each appointment, adding excitement and fun to your child’s orthodontic treatment.
Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces are becoming increasingly popular, due to their discreet design
Clear Solution
Clear brackets minimise the appearance of the brace on your teeth, ensuring you can smile with confidence.
Effective treatment
As with metal braces, ceramic braces still work in exactly the same way to deliver great results.

Braces F.A.Q.
When it’s time to have your braces fitted, this painless process will take around 30 to 45 minutes. Dr Nick will start by polishing and applying an adhesive to prime your teeth, then will apply bonding glue to stick on your brackets. The adhesive is only temporary throughout your braces treatment and won’t damage your teeth. He will then slide your archwire through and hold it in place with elastics. Dr Nick is able to complete placing your braces in just 15 minutes. Once finished, we’ll then explain how to look after your teeth and braces.
Your total time in braces will depend on the complexity of your orthodontic problem and which type of braces you opt for. However, as a general rule most patients will wear braces for between 12 and 24 months.
When you first get your braces fitted and after any adjustments, your teeth can feel a bit sensitive as your teeth begin their tooth movement journey. However, this is easily managed with over-the-counter pain relievers and should disappear within a few days. Keeping your teeth and gums clean during your braces treatment can also help reduce any discomfort.
At NK Orthodontist, appointments are held around eight weeks apart so that Dr Nick can adjust your braces and monitor your progress. Appointments can last between 10 – 30 minutes depending on the complexity of your treatment.
There’s no specific price tag when it comes to the cost of braces, as everyone’s case is different depending on the level of treatment required. However, as a general rule, pricing can usually range anywhere from $3000 to $4000 for one arch treatment to $6000 to $8500 for comprehensive treatment. When you book a free consultation with Dr Nick, he can review your teeth and suggest a treatment plan to suit you. We offer 0% interest free payment plans to make the cost more manageable.
